Reviews

Excellent show. Toy store was amazing.
2nd time I've seen O.A.R. live, both times were at Merriweather. Overall an excellent lineup. Last time I saw them, they debuted Try Me, and while I'd possibly have liked to have heard it again, it would have really depended on which version they'd play if they were to have played it. The version they played at the 8/17/07 show was awesome, but by the time it got onto All Sides, the band had changed the lyrics quite a bit, so I'm glad they didn't play the All Sides version. Great versions of Black Rock, Lay Down, Crazy Game of Poker, and Shattered.
Great show! Both acts sounded great! However, this was not a good venue to bring children to the lawn area. WAY too many drunks and stupid young-young people!! My kids saw more drunks, fights, sexual assaults, and other related behavior than they have ever seen in their life. Another family next to us left when we did about 8 songs into the OAR show as it was getting way out of hand! Too bad, but way too many people, security was probably outnumbered 700 to 1 conservatively. If we go next year it will be in the seated area. Show was great though, and we downloaded it from this site as soon as it came up.
Great show! 2nd time I've seen them at Merriweather. Overall an excellent lineup, but I didn't like the version of Lay Down - my bf did. Excellent versions of Black Rock, I FCrazy Game of Poker and Shattered.
This was my first OAR show and it was AMAZING! Loved Matt Nathanson too. The Beatles song at the end was fantastic!

I will definitely be going to a show the next time OAR tours! They sound every bit as good live as they do on their albums. They played for over two hours and I loved the set list, but I do wish they had done City on Down and Hey Girl. Maybe next time!
